CSV upload

Turn any list into an ad audience

You can upload a CSV of people or companies to Primer and use it to build, match and exclude audiences. Primer maps your columns automatically and shows how many records it could enrich and target.

What you can do

  • Upload people lists with names plus an email, company domain or LinkedIn URL
  • Upload company lists with just a name and domain or LinkedIn URL
  • Use uploaded lists to target, exclude or seed lookalike-style audiences
  • See valid rows, enrichment rate and available records after each upload

How to set it up

  1. Open Connections → CSV Imports and choose People or Companies
  2. Upload a CSV with a header row (up to 25 MB)
  3. Check the column mapping and the valid-row count
  4. Confirm the import and use it in an audience

Frequently asked questions

What columns does a people CSV need?

First name and last name, plus at least one of email, company domain or LinkedIn URL.

What columns does a company CSV need?

A company name plus a company domain or LinkedIn URL. No person data is needed.

Is there a file size limit?

A direct upload can be up to 25 MB. For larger files, use Amazon S3.

Does a new upload add to the old one?

No. Each upload is a complete snapshot of that dataset, so records missing from the new file are dropped.
