Bring Snowflake data into Primer

Primer ingests Snowflake data through Amazon S3. Export your accounts and contacts as CSV files to your Primer S3 location, and Primer uses them to build and refresh audiences. S3 loading is in beta and available on request.

What you can do

  • Build audiences from accounts and contacts modeled in Snowflake
  • Schedule full exports so audiences stay current
  • Combine warehouse records with your CRM and Primer’s data
  • Exclude customers or target product-qualified accounts

How to set it up

  1. Ask support@sayprimer.com to enable S3 and send you your prefix
  2. Use COPY INTO (or an external stage pointed at your prefix) to unload a query result as CSV to your Primer S3 location
  3. Write the whole dataset each run, using the canonical CSV columns
  4. Use the dataset in an audience

Frequently asked questions

How does Primer connect to Snowflake?

Through Amazon S3. Snowflake writes CSV files to your Primer S3 location, and Primer ingests each file.

How often should Snowflake write to S3?

As often as you want audiences refreshed. Each file should contain the full dataset, because it replaces the previous one.

Is S3 loading generally available?

Not yet. It’s in beta and opened on request.
